I am delighted to advise you that our recent Sport England application to support our Clubhouse project was successful and we have been awarded 12.5k which is what we asked for!
This award will help to bring us up to 103k, just 4k short of our Clubhouse project target of 107k which is remarkable given we have now raised almost 35k since we gained planning permission to demolish the redundant workshop adjacent and replace with our Clubhouse modular building with full services in late August.
I start my third and final sponsored walk in aid of the Clubhouse on Monday following 2024 my ten favourite walks and in 2023 the Anglesey Coastal path- 140 miles, and two walks in July from Poachers Pocket to Llanymynech – 20 miles and Oswalds Trail.
This year, I will be walking 10 walks with friends who have chosen one of their favourite walks to take me on, so will be off to Llangollen, Much Wenlock, Telford , Ellesmere, Knockin, Trefonen and five other places to be confirmed, around 100 miles in total.
