We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming ‘Walk to Wimbledon’ event, and we would love for you all to be involved.
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday June 30th, 10am – 1pm (Bring a picnic to celebrate our achievements afterwards! Refreshments and strawberries & cream will be available too.)
- Location: Cae Glas Park
- Challenge: Collectively walk 200 miles (that’s equivalent to 400 laps around Cae Glas Park!)
Why Participate? Our community clubhouse fundraising project is gaining momentum. Last year, we raised nearly £10,000, and this year, we need to raise even more. Which is where we need your direct involvement and help to maximise our fundraising efforts before submitting our official planning application in June.
How You Can Help:
- Join the Walk: Lace up your trainers and join us for the ‘Walk to Wimbledon.’ Every lap counts as we cover the distance from Oswestry to Wimbledon! Anyone aged 5+ can take part – members, non-members, friends, family & even the dog!
- Sponsorship: Reach out to family, friends, and colleagues to sponsor your walk. Their support directly benefits our community clubhouse.
